Living A Life of Action

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Newton’s third law of motion states “For every action, there is equal and opposite reaction.”

This law can be extended to human behavior. When you are kind and offer help (action), you receive kindness and help in return (reaction). When you send good vibes, you receive good vibes. However, in the physical realm the reaction to an action is immediate but in case of human behavior, reactions may take time or may be apparent only much later. But the law still applies.

Reflect on areas in your life where you are passively waiting for someone else to take the initiative. If you were to make the first move, what would you do? For example, it could be asking for a better assignment in your job instead of waiting for your boss to recognize your potential, reaching out to your dream company, asking someone on a date or picking up the phone to patch up with a friend.

Quit waiting for life to give you what you think you deserve. Instead, make it happen. Do the action and may be you will start a reaction. If you consistently take action, over time those actions accumulate and reaction is inevitable.

What actions are you going to take today, tomorrow and everyday thereafter to initiate the reactions you desire in your life?
